    The Layer-X Air is a nice succession to the original T-Shirt (Layer-X w/o the Air) as it is indeed lighter and hence better usable in warm or hot conditions. Personally, I like three things about it: the feel, the weight (or better the lack of it) and the small packing size. Nevertheless, in the end it is "plastic" and if you sweat it will not transport all moisture away from your skin. Though, this is true for any fabric, the Layer-X with or w/o Air will not soak, and hence will leave you with a moist or wet feeling on your skin. It all depends on how quick and how much you sweat and it will feel different for different persons. I am a heavy sweater who also sweats quickly, so for me this is an issue whenever I use the shirt for outdoor activities that go beyond the generic walk with my wify. Especially with activities under "difficult" weather conditions, e.g. long walks at 0-10 degrees C, increased humidity with the need for extra protective layers. Last year my wife and I did a 12 km walk, 3° C, 300m difference in altitude. I wore the Layer-X (no AIr), Granarec and Everything Proof Jacket (as it was raining at the start of the walk). After the first climb I was soaking wet, I had to take off the two Jackets and fan the shirt for minutes to get close to dry again. Granted, It was the normal Layer-X, but I really doubt the Air version will make a great difference in such a case.

    Conclusion for me: Great Shirt for normal acticities where little to no sweating is involved. I will not wear it for sports and use the Layer-X (no air) in colder situations and prefer the Air Version, when warmer. Also, when really sunny and hot, the black version can be deadly; when sunny but cold (or colder), it will leave you with a really wonderful warm feeling.
